Board Meeting & Board Ballot Discussion

We would like to thank the members of Harrison and the surrounding communities for the continued support.  As the 2021 season comes to an end, we are looking ahead to the 2022 season.  One matter that will need to be address is that we will have a number of Harrison Junior Baseball Board vacancies, due to term limits.  We will be seeking replacements.  Harrison Junior Baseball is completely organized and operated by volunteers, and it wouldn’t be possible without their time, and dedication. 

Important Dates:

On Wednesday, July 21st at 7:00pm we will conduct a BOARD MEETING.  This meeting will be open to the public, and this will also be an opportunity for anyone who might be interested in running for a board seat to add their name to the ballot. 
 
On Sunday, August 1st at 6:00pm we will have the final COACHES MEETING of the season.  During this meeting we will recap the 2021 HJB season and turn in equipment.
 
On Sunday, August 1st at 6:40pm we will conduct the HARRISON JUNIOR BASEBALL BOARD VOTE.  This will be open to the public.


Below are the positions that will be open, and their descriptions:

1st Vice President (2 Year Term) – shall perform all of the duties of the president and 2nd vice president in his/her absence; be the advisory officer to all committee chairman, chairman of the equipment and the rule committee.
 
2nd Vice President (1 Year Term – Due to Resignation) – in charge of all fundraising, fundraising committees and related activities, including running the concession stand and gate.  In the absence of the president the 2nd vice president will also assume the duties of the 1st vice president.
 
Secretary (1 Year Term) – shall notify all the members in good standing of all meetings and shall be responsible for the newsletter and all correspondence and recording minutes for the efficient operation of the corporation.
 
Scheduling Director (2 Year Term) – practice and games scheduling of HJB and select ball held at the complex. 
 
Field Maintenance Director (1 Year Term) – preparing fields for games / practices and maintaining grounds .  ( this position can form a committee to help get the job done )
 
Trustee Position 1 (1 Year Term) – shall have general charge of all business affairs and activities of HJB and shall determine the policies for the government of the corporation and the members thereof.
 
Trustee Position 2 (1 Year Term) – shall have general charge of all business affairs and activities of HJB and shall determine the policies for the government of the corporation and the members thereof.
